Made in the US, the ‘Hyde Park’ pattern is representative of the highest quality Nottingham Lace produced by the Scranton Lace Company. Featuring 100% cotton, this table cover measures 60” by 126” and is rectangular shaped. New in the package, this vintage lace tablecloth is in very good, unused condition. American made in Scranton, Pennsylvania, this vintage lace table cover is wrinkle-free and machine washable. A beautiful clean vintage American made lace table covering perfect for any and all occasions! This vintage lace tablecloths was woven on the original Victorian looms of the Scranton Lace Company located in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Established in 1897, the Scranton Lace Company was internationally known for producing the highest quality Nottingham Lace. Twelve massive Jacquard looms were imported from Birmingham, England in the late 1800’s and the factory in Scranton Pennsylvania was built around the 20-ton machines. Employing upwards of 1200 people at its prime, Scranton Lace ceased production in 2002. If you have watched the show “The Office”, the opening scene features the clocktower from the Scranton Lace factory. In addition to Nottingham lace, the company also produced napkins, tablecloths, valances, and curtains along with other lace items. I purchased these and other lace table coverings and doilies at an auction of over 10,000 pieces of Scranton Lace items. These were some of the last pieces produced at the factory before it closed over 20 years ago as well as old inventory. I have carefully inspected each package and will only send you items in pristine, like new condition.
