Swedish M96/M38 Mauser Rifle Sling This is a complete leather Swedish Mauser M1896 1-piece standard sling. It was also used on the M1938 Short Rifle, M1941 Sniper Rifle and will fit many other rifles with 1.25″ wide swivels. Brown leather used and shows wear but still completely serviceable. Colors may vary somewhat from pictures. Includes quick detach metal clip, Brass Buckle, Brass Stud and leather keeper. Please read the following before bidding: Shipping is free in the USA. International shipping will be more. These slings are original military surplus items and may have endured decades of less than optimal storage conditions. Leather will show wear and brass parts may have some crusty green verdigris. They will benefit from a thorough cleaning and treatment with a leather conditioning product. These photos are rare, one of a kind pieces obtained from a rare new archive coming onto the market for the first time. Most are pristine, museum quality, ultra crisp images. Any red/green line seen passing through the photo is an error with the scanner and not on the actual photo. Most of the photographs in this archive are originals. If they are printed at a later time we labeled them “2nd Generation Restrike” or “Vtg 2nd Gen Restrike” but even the restrikes are very old and rare. The photographs may have dates and/or descriptions written/typed/stamped on the back or the front. As with any photo approaching 100yrs old, they could have bent corners, small tears or light stains.
