VTG Polish Folk Art Wood Brass Inlay Display Plate Flower Hand Carved 11” This is a beautiful vintage wooden carved plate with brass inlay outlining the design. There are some flecks of paint in the backside and a round indentation that may have been for a pedestal but I am uncertain. Either way it is a beautiful piece!
We’ve listed this item as-is due to a couple of surface nicks near the top on the front and a patch of scuff on the back from the spring mount (see photos); it’s otherwise fine. The plate is comprised of several different types of wood arranged in rings, sanded flush, inlaid with intricate brass, and then pressed and burned with pyrography tools to create dazzling patterns around the inner and outer rim.
