The cord is 18 gauge insulated electrical wire in a round, brown nylon fabric cloth cover. The long neck, brown phenolic plug looks just like the old antique Bakelite style. It is 2 prong, polarized and features screw post wire connecting terminals for strength and security. It is very high quality, made from strong phenolic resin, with a thick plastic center, not cardboard. The appearance of this cord & plug is virtually identical to those from the 1930’s through the 50’s but with today’s safety measures in place!
