This is a Genuine US Military Surplus 1-Quart Canteen Cover, in Olive Drab Green. This canteen cover is made from heavy duty nylon and features an insulated liner to keep beverages hot or cold. This pouch can be attached to web belts or any ALICE pack using the two ALICE clips on the back of the pouch. The canteen pouch is designed to hold the 1qt canteen, plus the metal cup and stove stand. The canteen is held in place with two brass buttons closing the top of the canteen cover around the canteen. On the front is a small pocket for storing water purification tablets. The lid of this small pocket is secured by means of hook and pile fastener tape. The cover attaches to the individual equipment belt or Alice pack by means of two belt-strap keepers with interlocking slides. Grommet in bottom allows water drainage.
