Antique bookbinding tool for gilding books in good condition. It was manufactured by Seare Late Paas, London, and likely dates to the mid or late 19th century.
They are the deep well style from the Victorian era. The letters the images feature are “N” and “Y”, could be read as a nod to New York. Crazy that these are like 150 years old!
