All of my pairings are reared females to wild males or males obtained as caterpillars from areas miles away. I do everything I can to promote strong bloodlines. I am getting pairings almost nightly this time of year. I can offer a mix of eggs from several different pairings if you’d like. Sweetgum is their primary host plant here but I have also seen them on, pecan, hickory, persimmon, willow, birch, red maple and red oak. Lunas from this area of the country aren’t picky. There are up to 4 broods per season in my area so these will likely eclose later this summer. I keep a portion of eggs from each clutch to ensure fertility. I only issue refunds if my eggs don’t hatch. Rearing Luna moths is an amazing experience for the young and those just young at heart.
