The delightful, and nearly forgotten Hector Heathcote Show, ran on NBC from 1963 to 1966. It featured a bumbling but virtuous and well meaning MinuteMan named Hector Heathcote, who always mistaked his way to solving problems, and always ended up the hero. Other Terrytoons cartoons included the honorable Hashimoto San, (Japanese House Mouse), and the 44 year old childlike Sidney the elephant. Apparently the show ran in syndication, but has never been formerly released. I am offering a two dvd set, each with six shows… each featuring a Hector, a Hashimoto, and a Sidney cartoon. There are 36 cartoons in all This was a great Saturday morning cartoon, during the 1960’s, which arguably, was the best time to be a kid.I hope these cartoon shows will delight and offer a glimpse of a way better time to be alive. I wish I could offer the original show openings and closings, but they are unavailable.
