Up for sale is a charming Mid Century Modern (MCM) Anthropomorphic ceramic puppy dog figurine. Imported by I.W.Rice and Co., this piece features a whimsical, elongated neck, big handpainted expressive eyes, and a large teal green polka dot bow. The reverse side features an opening traditionally used as a vanity lipstick holder or small bud vase. This piece is in excellent vintage condition. Paint is vibrant with a smooth gloss glaze. There are no chips or cracks. The original blue and silver scalloped “An Irice Import/Made in Japan” foil sticker is intact on the base. Please refer to photos.
