I do not know the full story behind this one. It’s the only one I’ve seen with a custom polished and flamed finish on the ti and it runs a bit smoother than a regular Hi Tech. Because the box is unmarked, I think the work was done by Gerry but I’m not sure. The Rowdy is the first mid-tech line from Tashi Bharucha. He is the knife world’s greatest collaborator and he teamed up with Gerry McGinnis for this one. The manufacturing is done by Gerry McGinnis and as expected, it handles better than most maker’s customs. It’s machined using the same processes as Gerry’s customs, assembled by hand the same way with the same attention to detail as Gerry puts into his customs. He has 100% control over how these knives come out because they (Gerry and his father) are doing everything but the blade grinding right there in their own shop. Tashi Bharucha was so impressed by the quality of this knife and the speed of which Gerry had it completed that he’s dubbed this mid-tech project HiTech.Blade Length: 3.50″Closed Length: 4.625″Overall Length: 8.125″Blade Material: CPM-154 Stainless SteelBlade Style: Clip PointBlade Grind: FlatBlade Finish: StonewashHandle Material: 6Al4V Titanium with Single Chamfered Hole/Groove PatternLocking Mechanism: Frame LockPivot Assembly: BearingsPocket Clip: Titanium (Tip-Up, Right Carry)Designer: Tashi BharuchaHandmade in the USA
