Finally! You may have been looking for this for years. You probably had one of these bicycles as a kid, or really wanted one, but they were too expensive. Of course they were designed for kids, but no one in their right mind would give one to a kid now because they are worth a lot of $$. Only an adult would own one of these valuable bicycles and that’s why we designed this kit. Now you don’t have to ride around bottoming out the rear shocks. These springs are about 60% stiffer than the original springs. High quality, zinc plated, rust resistant springs with ground flat ends for better contact with the bushings and vertical alignment. The kit includes two springs and two nylon bushings. Made in the USA! You can replace the upper stock bushing with the larger bushing(See 2nd picture) or add it to the stock one and use both at the top of the spring for more pre-load. Fits all Schwinn Krate bikes with the rear suspension: Apple Krate, Orange Krate, Lemon Peeler, Pea Picker, Cotton Picker, Grey Ghost. Note: For the new generation Krates, the nylon bushing/spacer must be added to the existing black ones because the springs are shorter than the stock ones.
