In the upper right, a rectangular stamp box contains a stylized publisher’s monogram, likely reading “LKB,” marking this as a product of a specific German photographic printer. The front image, a black-and-white photograph with a subtle sepia warmth characteristic of aging silver-gelatin paper, captures a low-profile modern house from the 1940s or 1950s.
Cottages Farmhouses and other minor buildings in England is a remarkable compilation of photo and drawings and information on materials and styles. This is am amazing look into the past. Written in 1928 and part of a a man’s collection that I inherited. Far too important a volume for me to keep to myself. The condition is a Bit worn but the information and pictures and text are in tact Some moisture damage on back cover and the back 20 pages. Do not let this condition deter you from its valuable contents.
