2 young men, bedroom argument, gay man’s collection 4×6 1980s1960s Brand new. Digitally edited and professionally re-printed on photo stock. From a family estate of a gentleman’s collection of gay and male related photographs and ephemera. Most items are from the early to mid 20th century and includes loose photographs as well as some pictures that were cut by the owner from an antique photo album. Digital Reprint A 4″x6″ photo of two guys in a bedroom who look as if they are about to get into a tussle. There’s something about this picture that reminds me of a still from some gay movie – you know the type – from the 80s, when twinks first started to appear. But I’m not sure. I looked everywhere to see if I could find any title that this would have come from and found nothing. I dated this one at possibly the early 1980s because of the guy on the right, and that tank watch he’s wearing that could be Cartier, or it could be Seiko. 1960s DUNCAN DOUBLE HEAD PARKING METER MECHANICAL CLOCKS WORKS 25 CENTS FOR 2HRS

NOTE: Before I begin the narrative on this Duncan Original Double Head Parking Meter, please know that it is REAL & it is REAL HEAVY. As in 51 lbs dead weight steel just as it sits. Definitely not for the squeamish or feint of heart! We have not listed many of these on ebay up until this point because of this fact, but we have so many here that we decided to list a couple to see if there is some interest. Remember local pickup is encouraged if you are convenient to the Syracuse New York area. We would be willing to deliver this unit to the nearest NY Thruway at no cost. It would save you a lot of money. These meters are located in Phoenix, NY. This is a True Genuine Vintage Two Hour DUNCAN-METER Used Mechanical (1960s) Parking Double Headed Meter. This Heavy Duty Piece of Roadside Transportation Memorabilia with some Patina comes to us from the Franklin Massachusetts Department of Public Works. The Franklin Police Department had the keys to these units but would not part with them. I was able to access just the Mechanical Top Portion Side. The bottom remains locked. Overall, this is a very clean unit that functions very well. Just insert a coin and twist. Primitive technology that not only works but it is better than any kiosk or scan a cube code app that is out there. No doubt a 1960s Mechanical Unit. When was the last time you parked somewhere for 2 Hours for a mere 25 cents. .A dime will get you 48minutes and a nickel will yield 24 Minutes. 2 Hours is the maximum time of parking on this one, These old housings can be retrofitted with the newer digital Duncan readouts. Duncan is a Great American Company that excelled in everything they did. You may remember them better for their yo-yos! The Housing is Manufactured in the 1960s. These were built like Fort Knox and just as hard to get into without the proper tools. Measures 15″ Across, 23″ Tall and is 4-3/4″ Thick. A True Survivor. Insert Coin. The clocks are Three Slotted for Nickels Dimes and Quarters. Most Duncan parts are still available online at reasonable prices. For instance, a new Dome Plexan Clear Plastic can be had online for $10. The Unit is also very easy to work on. The Duncan company may be more famous for it’s timeless Yo-Yos but they had parking meters down to a science for many decades. Very Good Condition. A Nice Collectible. Both Upper Locks are in place and will arrive to you that way. There are no keys included. As noted above It is a heavy unit that weighs 51 lbs unpacked. A Real Cool piece for those that like vintage Mechanical units. Times like a clock. Built to withstand heavy punishment and inclimate weather. Offered at a bargain Price. This is fresh to the market having not been drug around from car show to car show. Perfect for those that collect Parking Meters or Retro-refurbish such items into banks, lamps, and so on. It will fit on a 2″ inside diameter pipe. Conduit, Galvanized and straight exhaust pipe seems to work just as well, but for the weight of this, I would suggest strong grade 2″ Diameter pipe. I consider this a functioning “Starter Unit”. You may like it the way it is or completely restore it with powder coating etc. I have seen totally restored ones in the $400 and up range.
