Very early production reel from 1938 says “Pat Applied For”. This reel was manufactured before the View-Master patent was granted. View-Master Reel features 7 3d images. Envelope shown in photo is also included.
Four of the dwarfs once had white fur beards. PAPIER MACHE CANDY CONTAINER. It’s not often that you find a complete set in such great condition. Several dwarfs also have pipe cleaner neck ties. I do not have the original box.
This is for the 1938 Gum Inc (R69) Horrors of War trading cards. This is one of the most famous and controversial of all non-sports issues. The Set contains 288 cards. The original Set has 240 cards and the last 48 were issued later and are much rarer.
This photograph was produced by the renowned Savastano Photographic Studios (File No. 22923) for the artist’s landmark solo exhibition at the Georgette Passedoit Gallery in New York City in March 1938.
