There are also 3 broken threads along the bottom edge. Because of its size, we think this could also be used as a chair or sofa back doily. The main image is a cherub or baby angel. We have not attempted to reshape them with a comb, steam, or iron.
It included biographical information indicating that Chuck was born in Sunbury, Pennsylvania, in 1944. He got a Bachelor’s degree in Education in Pennsylvania, and then taught secondary school for fifteen years, mostly in Victoria, Australia.
The plaque reads “THOMAS MYATT TITTENSOR 1892” (photo 7). Applied pheasants and flowers decorate the pot over a glossy brown Rockingham glaze. It is in great condition overall. The big teapot itself is excellent with only one small flake to sawtooth rim of pot (photo 21).
