One Kodak box and one Ansco box. They are all on photo paper and what I guess are considerd “original photographs”. Original in the sense that they are not paper copies of the real photograph. Of course, I have no idea how many copies were printed and if they were ever released to the public.

Offered are these four vintage black and white photographs, all printed with “US Army Signal Corps”, with the corps logo. Although not labeled, because of other documents found with them I’m pretty sure these date to the end of World War II or just after. The “380” on the banner in the first photo group shot refers to the 380th Ordnance Medium Automotive Maintenance Company (as stated on the discharge paper found with the photos) but there is no indication of where or when this unit served. However, another paper found with the photos is an Army pass issued in Manila, so it is reasonable to assume the photos are from the Philippines; the second photo’s tropical vegetation supports this. On the other hand, I can find no reference to this company’s service in the Philippines (or anywhere else), The third photo is of the inside of a base club of some sort; there is a pinup girl on the wall but I can’t tell who she is. The fourth photo is of the bar area of a base club; possibly the same one as in photo 3. The first three photos are approx. 9 7/8″ x 8 1/4″, with photo #4 about 9 7/8″ x 8″. They are in good condition, with no holes or tears. There are some wrinkles and light creases, most on photo #4. Photos #2 & #3 have some minor surface discoloration.
