I cannot vouch for the blade steel. The manufacturer claims a hardness of 60 – 62 HRC. I have not tested. Friction and Wear: While the anodized layer is hard, it is also very thin. Under heavy point impacts or sharp, abrasive scraping, the coating can wear through because it is backed by a relatively softer substrate.
