N.S. Meyer Inc. WW II US Sterling Rifle & Machine Gun Marksmanship Badge Pin

Original N.S. Meyer Inc. U.S. Army infantry collar insignia featuring crossed rifles with blue enamel detail. Marked N.S. Meyer Inc., New York on the reverse. Gold tone finish with visible age-appropriate patina throughout, especially on the back, consistent with period wear. Blue enamel remains intact with minor surface wear. Classic WWII-era military insignia example by a well-known maker. Measures approximately 1.5 inches wide by 1 inch tall. I give all of my pieces a gentle wipe down but do not deep clean, as many collectors prefer to preserve the natural patina and finish. Please review photos closely for the best idea of condition. Vtg U.S. Military Majors Insignia Pin marked ‘N.S. MEYER, INC. NEW YORK’ The 9M code (in one of the shield markings on the back) was assigned to N.S. Meyer by the U.S. Military Quartermaster General starting in 1953. Meyer utilized this exact dual-shield design from the mid-1950s to the mid-1960s dating this pin to the Cold War or early Vietnam War era
