This is a unique doll representing Chinese culture which was made in Japan! Each section of the doll appears to be separate, with each section fashioned together with bands inside of the doll — which allows the doll’s limbs and neck to move freely (see photos — one is of the back head/neck lifted up from the body to show the materials and bands used)!
Vintage Ichimatsu DOLLS traditionally dressed with Gofun Faces ( oyster shell powder). Basket front has faded but Weaving is sound. Hook for clasp is missing. DOLLS are in ok shape, one has a loose foot, and one has a hand missing. Faces are still good, minor chipping on noses. Kimono fabric still good not frayed or faded.

SHE DOES HAVE SOME AGE RELATED WEAR. SHE HAS A REPAIR ON ONE FOOT, AND A SCUFF ON ONE CHEEK AND HER NOSE. SHE HAS GLASS EYES AND BLACK HAIR. HER KIMONO IS IN GREAT CONDITION, WITH ONE SMALL HOLE. I HAVE INCLUDED UP CLOSE PICTURES OF THESE THINGS. SHE IS SIGNED ON HER PAPER SKIRT. THISIS A STUNNING RARE DOLL, AND WOULD BE THE PERFECT ADDITION TO ANY COLLECTION.
