When the Army adopted Mills woven cartridge belts in 1881, complaints from the field noted that the currently issued holsters and bayonet frogs would not fit on the belt. Mills remedied this with a simple brass wire adapter hook that would hang from the top of belt. This our new reproduction of this hook for holsters. It is 4 inches wide and will fit all holsters in use at the time. THIS OFFER IS FOR THE HOOK ONLY. OTHER ITEMS IN PHOTOS ARE ONLY FOR ILLUSTRATION. I will combine shipping on multiple purchases. Wait for an adjusted invoice before sending payment.

This is the cartridge holder ONLY. Cartridges and belt are NOT included. This is a recreation of one type of pistol cartridge holder that was improvised by US Army Cavalry troopers during the Indian Wars period. It has 12 loops for individual cartridges, with large 2 1/2 inchbelt loops to fit over the 1872 and 1874 pattern saber belts then in use. This will NOT fit on Mills woven cartridge belts.
