This listing features a rare, two (2) specimen slab parcel of exceptional Saddle Rim Sagenite and Dendritic Plume Agate originating from Eastern Oregon over 50 years ago! Both slabs show fine, detailed deer hair sagenite in various coloration including blue, white and gray and both also show small black dendritic plumes! Together, the slab specimens weigh 4.7 ounces. Individually, the slabs weigh and measure 1.) 2.5 ounces, 127mm by 61mm by 5.5mm 2.) 2.2 ounces, 82mm by 84mm by 4mm. All photographs taken while the specimens were wet excluding the final two photographs which show both sides of the high end sagenite agates while dry. I will combine shipping for multiple purchases as long as the specimens can be packaged in a manner that minimizes the potential for damage.
These weigh 2.2 oz (62g) and 2.5 oz (72g) respectively. They each measure approximately 3.5 x 2.75 inches. Depth of the lighter one is a little over 2mm, and the heavier one is 4mm. I tested one for sg with the water test, and got 2.916 to 3. I scratched one with a needle, and got just a bit of a white mark after wiping off, but no deep scratch. I believe this is correctly called nephrite jade, but I am happy to do other tests if that would be helpful to you, so feel free to ask questions. This lot is from an estate, and at the time of listing I have several other slabbed and specimen rock items from the same purchase.
