Features a deep kick‑up with a sand pontil, a sagged base, and straight sides. Has full original surface sheen with superb whittling texture to the glass. Condition is excellent. Fantastic example of a rare bottle.

British Or Colonial American Mallet Bottle 1770-1785

British or American free blown mallet or squat cylinder bottle in dark olive amber glass. Applied string rim, sand or disk pontil on base. Nicely whittled, very light inside stain. No stars, chips, or cracks. Retains most of its original luster. Circa 1770-1785. Beautiful example from a very early colonial glassworks. Large size 9 1/2″” tall, 4″ wide. Please study the photos for condition.
